The Home Budget Management System is a program designed to aid in
financial record keeping. HBMS contains many useful features, but some
of them are not intuitive. In order to use the program successfully,
the documentation is a "MUST READ" affair!
The best way to understand HBMS is to read the docs and run the
program with the included sample data files. By experimenting with the
sample data you will be able to see the very extensive screen reports
which the program is capable of, not to mention the printed reports.
HBMS recognizes a monochrome monitor, but it is set up to take
advantage of color. If the colors don't show up well on your monitor,
use the Dos command <MODE BW80> before running HBMS.
To current users of HBMS prior to version 3.0 - there are some
changes you need to be aware of (see docs and update history).
To read the user's manual on your screen, type at the
       A> prompt: LIST HBMS.DOC
To print the user's manual, type at the A> prompt:
                     COPY HBMS.DOC PRN
or, retrieve the HBMS.DOC with any wordprocessor and print it.
To start the program, at the A> key in:
                        HBMS
